Vol. 122 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letting of Clare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether representations have been made to the Land Commission respecting the letting for grazing purposes of between 300 and 400 acres of land on the Inchiquin farm at Dromoland, County Clare, and whether they propose to take any action respecting the acquisition of this land.

The answer to the first part of the question is "yes". The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands, but the Deputy's representations have been noted.

Does that mean that the thing is shelved definitely?

No; strangely enough it means that as a result of the Deputy's representations, an inquiry is being initiated.
