asked the Minister for Justice if he will state for the last available date the amount transferred to the dormant funds account by the Accountant of the Courts of Justice and whether the fund can, after any specified period of years, be used by the Government for national development or other purposes.

With regard to the first part of the question, the particulars required by the Deputy are in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
Under the law as it stands, funds in court cannot be utilised in the way the Deputy suggests without ad hoc legislation.
