Vol. 123 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Milk Supply.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will arrange for the sale of milk by the local creamery during the winter months in those areas in County Kerry where the people are unable to obtain their normal supplies.

As creameries do not operate daily during the winter months and as the maximum quantity of milk which any creamery which does not hold a pasteurising licence under the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935, could legally sell on any day is five gallons, I do not think the arrangement the Deputy suggests would be feasible.
