Vol. 123 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Firms in Ireland.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will take steps to ensure that all foreign firms operating in this country will employ trade union labour and comply with trade union standards in relation to wages and working conditions.

There does not seem to be any necessity for me to take any special steps in this matter. Foreign firms are subject to the same legislation on wages and conditions of work as are native firms.
