asked the Minister for Local Government if he has any proposals before him to relieve the very bad insanitary conditions existing in the urban houses in Clonakilty situated on Show Ground Road and if he will arrange for the carrying into effect immediately of a scheme to relieve the appalling conditions at present existing in view of the large child population on the terrace.

I have no information regarding this matter.
I shall, however, have an inquiry addressed to the local authority and shall communicate the results to the Deputy.
Would the Minister expedite the investigation with the local authority as there is an open sewer running behind this whole row of houses? Something should be done immediately about it.
