Vol. 123 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Importation of Farm Tools.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if the Industrial Development Authority have yet made a decision on the application by the firms engaged in the manufacture of farm tools in regard to the importation of similar goods; and, if so, whether he will state the nature of the decision.

It is presumed that the application referred to by Deputy Hilliard is that for the restoration of the customs duty on agricultural forks. This application was examined by the Industrial Development Authority and it was decided not to restore the duty but to keep the position under review. The applicants were so informed on the 6th September last.
