Vol. 123 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shortage of Raisins.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that importers of raisins are re-exporting them although there is a grave shortage of these goods in this country; and if he will forthwith forbid their re-export until the home demand is satisfied.

I am not aware that importers of raisins are re-exporting them or that the home demand for raisins is not being satisfied. I see no reason for controlling their export.
