Vol. 125 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Bog Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the urgent necessity for carrying through schemes of drainage and construction of bog roads which I have submitted for the areas of Killorglin, Caragh Lake, Glencar and Glenbeigh, and whether he is in a position to give an assurance that grants will be made available for the operation of the schemes referred to.

All proposals submitted for road and drainage works in privately-owned bogs will be considered on their merits, but I am not in a position to give an assurance that any particular work will be carried out until all the relevant circumstances in connection with it have been examined.
