Vol. 125 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coffey Estate, Fiddane, Newport (Tipperary).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state why one cottage tenant was alloted land on the Coffey estate at Fiddane, Newport, County Tipperary, while two other cottage tenants were refused land in the division of the estate.

The Land Commission considered the claims of all the applicants for land on this estate. Allotments were provided as far as possible for the applicants who were considered by the Land Commission, at their discretion, to be the most deserving.

Would the Minister say if political views were taken into consideration in the distribution of those lands?

His political views?

There is a different Government in power now.
