Vol. 125 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rehabilitation Schemes (Monaghan).

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in what areas in County Monaghan land rehabilitation schemes have been carried out and the number of acres of land reclaimed in each case.

The Deputy will be aware from my replies to previous questions in connection with statistics of progress under the land project that I have undertaken to furnish comprehensive returns periodically to Dáil Éireann. The latest of these returns was supplied on the 19th March. If this return fails to give the Deputy all the information she requires, I will undertake to have her supplied with whatever supplementary information she may ask.

Is it not a fact that the land rehabilitation project is proceeding with as much speed in counties other than Monaghan?

I appreciate the tenor of the Deputy's supplementary question.

I only wanted to know in what areas in County Monaghan the land rehabilitation project is carried out. If the Minister can supply me with that information, it is all I want to know. I do not want to know about the rest of the country.

I am at the Deputy's service.
