Vol. 125 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mitchelstown Sewerage.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has yet received any proposals from the Cork County Council Northern Committee for the provision of sewerage facilities for their houses known as Home Rule Terrace in the town of Mitchelstown; and, if not, if he will have representations made to them on the matter.

The proposal referred to by the Deputy has been under consideration for some time but could not be approved pending a decision by the county council to proceed with the proposed scheme of main sewerage and sewage disposal works. The county council have decided to undertake this scheme and they have been informed that the proposal to connect up the council houses at Clonmel Road, including the houses known as Home Rule Terrace, may now be proceeded with.
