Vol. 125 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Live Poultry Exports.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state how many live poultry have been exported from this country since the ban on the export of them was lifted up to 31st December, 1950, and how many since that date.

The number of live poultry exported from this country in August-December, 1950, was 45,462 and the number in January-March, 1951, was 77.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that that number could have been considerably increased if permission to export were given to a certain exporter in County Waterford who applied for a permit?

I think the Deputy might address that supplementary to the Minister for Agriculture.

I certainly have that information already.
