Vol. 126 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Supply for County Wexford Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that there are 17 cottages at Ballyhack, County Wexford, with no available water supply and that this hardship has persisted over a number of years; and, if so, if he will take steps to have a pump installed forthwith.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will have a pump installed at the Hook, County Wexford, as the only water supply of any sort available for human beings or animals in the immediate vicinity is an open well that is frequently contaminated by sea water in rough weather.

With your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, I propose to reply to Questions Nos. 53 and 54 together.

The provision of pumps is a matter for the sanitary authority. I shall have the Deputy's representations in regard to both places conveyed to the Wexford County Council.
