Vol. 126 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Potato Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state when it is intended to make available a subsidy to meet the difference between the export price and the price paid by the alcohol factories to the growers of the 1950 season ware potatoes.

Mr. Walsh

It will not be possible to ascertain definitely the additional extra amount which will be payable on potatoes delivered, at the instance of the Irish Potato Marketing Company, to the Alcohol Distilleries until such deliveries have been completed and dealt with at the works.
