Vol. 126 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bunbeg Pier, County Donegal.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will take steps immediately to have the berths for fishing boats at Bunbeg Pier, County Donegal, cleared of surface stones and other obstructions.

I presume the Deputy refers to the new pier at Bunbeg, the construction of which with the aid of a State grant was completed in August, 1950, and for the maintenance of which the Donegal County Council are responsible. No representations have been made to me or to my Department as to the necessity for clearance of stones or other obstructions at the berths beside this pier.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary treat the question as representations being made?

I understand that in the first instance representations should be addressed to the Donegal County Council.
