Vol. 126 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letterfinish Milk Stop.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider the advisability of providing a creamery stop at Letterfinish, Sneem, County Kerry, to facilitate farmers in the district.

Mr. Walsh

I am informed by the Dairy Disposal Company that it would not be feasible to provide a travelling creamery stop at Letterfinish. The four travelling creameries attached to the Kenmare creamery group, in whose territory the district is situated, already cater for four stops each and could not possibly provide for an additional stop. I would suggest that the farmers concerned should co-operate in making arrangements for the conveyance of their combined milk supplies to one or other of the existing stops at Tahilla, Dirreenderagh and Sneem.
