(a) I am not in a position to give the information sought in respect of the period mentioned, but I am informed that from 1st June to 12th July 30,728 cwt. of tomatoes of a declared value of £156,430 were imported; (b) No quantitative licences have been or will be issued, nor are any necessary, for the importation of tomatoes during the period specified in the question.
