asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what acreage the forestry division propose to plant in the present planting season and the acreage in each county which it is proposed to plant.

The area proposed to be planted during the present planting season is approximately 14,600 acres. As the rest of the reply is in the form of a statement I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to have it circulated in the Official Report.
