Vol. 127 No. 1

Questions— Written Answers. - Town Planning Act Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether it is correct that no local authority outside the City of Dublin has yet made a scheme under the Town Planning Acts; and, if so, whether he will state the reason.

No statutory planning scheme has yet been completed by any planning authority. I cannot say whether the time which has elapsed since the adoption of the planning resolution by any particular planning authority is or is not unreasonably long. Each of these authorities has its own difficulties in reaching final decisions on this matter.
