asked the Minister for Local Government if he will introduce proposals for legislation to amend Section IX (2) of the Summary Jurisdiction Act, 1851, in such a manner that the erection of buildings within thirty feet of the road will only be prohibited if it is felt by the local authority that such erection would prejudice such road.

I do not consider that the provisions of the section referred to impose any unreasonable restriction which would justify the introduction of amending legislation on the lines suggested by the Deputy.
