Vol. 127 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will request Córas Iompair Éireann to provide a bus service to Listowel leaving Ballybunion and district about 9 a.m. and returning about 4 p.m. so as to cater for children going from the area to Listowel Presentation Convent, Listowel Technical School, and St. Michael's College, Listowel, and whether he is aware that if such a service were provided it would also be availed of by a large number of people in the Ballybunion district who work in Listowel.

The responsibility for making provision to meet the demand for transport services has been placed by the Transport Act, 1950, on the Board of Córas Iompair Éireann. I suggest that the Deputy should address his request in this matter direct to Córas Iompair Éireann.
