Vol. 127 No. 1

Questions— Written Answers. - Condition of Mayo Piers.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has received the report of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Government on the condition of piers and harbours at Achill, Erris and Lacken; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take to provide proper facilities for the fishermen of these areas.

Mr. Walsh

I have been in consultation with the Parliamentary Secretary to the Government in the matter of the condition of the piers and harbours along the western seaboard generally, but I am not yet in a position to add to my reply to the Deputy's question of 18th July regarding the position in the Achill, Erris and Lacken areas.
