Vol. 127 No. 1

Questions— Written Answers. - French Tariff on Shellfish.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that the 10 per cent. tariff on crayfish and lobsters exported to France has been increased to 30 per cent. by the French Government; and, if so, if he will make representations to have this tariff reduced to the original figure.

Mr. Walsh

I am aware that the duty on crayfish and lobsters imported into France was increased some months ago. Representations have been made to the French authorities for a reduction of this duty but have not been successful.
