Vol. 127 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industry for North Galway.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will request the Industrial Development Authority to formulate schemes for the establishment of some type of industry in Tuam or in any other district in the North Galway area.

As the Deputy will have seen from the Order Paper for to-day, it is proposed to introduce a Bill, the main object of which is to facilitate the establishment of industries in undeveloped areas such as North Galway.

In the meantime, will the Minister be prepared to receive a deputation from Tuam or the area around Tuam to ascertain their views?

I can give the Deputy anything but time, but, if I could not receive such a deputation personally, I can arrange to have it received by officers who would be familiar with the position.
