asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount of moneys received from E.C.A. to date, distinguishing between loan and grant counterpart funds, and the amount, if any, unexpected.

Receipts from the United States Economic Co-operation Administration amount to $143,477,492, of which $128,200,000 represents Loan Aid and $15,277,492 Grant Aid. The total amount deposited in the Central Bank as the counterpart of American Aid was £46,154,280, consisting of £40,697,295 loan counterpart and £5,456,985 grant counterpart.

At 27th October, 1951, the unexpended balances of loan and grant counterpart moneys amounted to £6,097,295 and £5,194,431 respectively.
