Vol. 127 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transportation to Reformatories and Industrial Schools.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that great distress is suffered by parents by reason of the fact that their children, after being tried at the Children's Court, are transported to reformatories and industrial schools in prison cars, and, if so, if he will have this practice stopped and arrange for their removal in private cars.

The use of a patrol van for the conveyance of children from the Dublin District Court to Industrial and Reformatory Schools ceased on the 5th October. A Ford station waggon has been used for the duty since that date.
