Consideration is being given to the question of setting up a small arms ammunition factory to supply the needs of the Defence Forces. I am not at present in a position to indicate whether such a project is practicable in the existing circumstances or when a final decision is likely to be made. I am, however, endeavouring to bring consideration of the matter to a conclusion as quickly as possible.
