Vol. 127 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Naval Service Food Supplies.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that there is dissatisfaction among the crews aboard the corvettes in the Irish Naval Service due to the shortage of fresh vegetables and water and a general paucity of food of all kinds on the mess decks; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

I am not aware that there is any dissatisfaction among the crews of the corvettes in regard to the matters mentioned by the Deputy. The only complaint received referred to a shortage of green vegetables and steps are being taken to improve this position.
