Vol. 127 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Artificial Insemination.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that the fee charged by the Dairy Disposals Board at Castleisland artificial insemination centre is 10/-; and if, in view of the small holdings and economic conditions in the Gaeltacht area he will take steps to arrange whereby the fee will be 5/- in respect of the Gaeltacht and congested areas in County Kerry.

Mr. Walsh

I am aware that a fee of 10/- is charged at Castleisland insemination station. The fees at this and other insemination stations are at present being reviewed and it is hoped that a low fee can be fixed for the Kerry cattle area.
