Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Infectious Diseases Allowances.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Health whether, in view of the recent steep rise in the cost of living, he will consider increasing the allowances paid under the Infectious Diseases Regulations.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question on 31st October last.

Mr. O'Higgins

Does that mean "no"?

It means you get the information there.

The Minister might reply to a straight question. Does it mean he does not propose to increase the allowances?

Is the Deputy getting funny—looking for a straight answer?

Surely the Minister should answer the question?
