Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claims of Old I.R.A.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received a statement of the claims of the Old I.R.A. signed and issued on their behalf by the executive of the Old I.R.A. Association; and, if so, whether he has considered these claims and will indicate his proposals to remove the injustices outlined in the statement.

In conjunction with other members of the Oireachtas, I have recently received the statement referred to by the Deputy. I have not yet had an opportunity of examining it and, consequently, cannot express any opinion on it at this stage.
