Vol. 128 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mineral Survey of South Kerry.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if it is his intention to have a comprehensive mineral survey made of South Kerry with a view to the development of any deposits which may be likely to prove economic; and, if so, when it will be carried out.

The area of South Kerry has already been surveyed on a number of occasions, and the information obtained is recorded in the Geological Survey Office. This information can be placed at the disposal of any persons interested in the development of particular parts of the area. I do not consider that any further survey of the area is necessary.
