Vol. 129 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Car Insurance.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will indicate what steps are taken to ensure that a motor car coming from outside the State for use within the State on a triptyque, is covered for third party insurance under the Road Traffic Act, 1933.

Presumably the Deputy is referring to the issue of international circulation permits. I would refer him to article 13 of the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1934.

Which provides?

Article 13 of the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations provides that no international circulation permit may be issued by a registration authority to any person in respect of a vehicle unless such person produces to the registration authority certain things, and the article then sets out the things that are to be provided. I suggest the Deputy might look up these regulations.

Is that a publication of our own?

Is it an Irish Order?

I thought it was an international order.
