Vol. 129 No. 8

- County Kildare Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if a grant for the installation of a water supply was authorised for Mr. William H. Crampton of Crookstown, Balletore, County Kildare; whether his inspector is satisfied that the work has been completed and, if so, on what date he so certified and why the grant of £100 has not been paid.

Mr. Walsh

The answer to the first and second parts of the question is in the affirmative. Completion of the work was certified on the 14th November, 1951, and the grant has now been paid.

Would the Minister mind saying the date on which the grant was paid?

Mr. Walsh

During the last week.

Does the Minister think that that is a reasonable period to elapse since certification?

Mr. Walsh

These schemes which I have introduced have become so popular ——

That is not a scheme which the Minister introduced; it is a scheme which his predecessor introduced.
