Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reorganisation of Postal Offices.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he will state the head office districts where postal services were reorganised during (a) the period February, 1948, to June, 1951, and (b) the period from July, 1951, to the latest available date.

The postal services in the head office districts of Ballinasloe, Birr, Bray, Carrick-on-Shannon, Cork, Gorey, Longford, Roscommon, Tullamore and Wicklow were reorganised during the period February, 1938, to June, 1951. Since July, 1951, the services have been reorganised in the districts of Kilkenny, Kilmallock, Mullingar, Nenagh, Roscrea, Thurles and Tipperary. The Drogheda district has been partially reorganised since July, 1951.
