Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Butter Imports.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the quantity of foreign butter imported from June, 1951, to date, and what further quantity is likely to be imported for the remainder of 1952.

61,240 cwt. of butter were imported since 1st June, 1951, and arrangements have been made for the importation of a further 58,760 cwt. during the next few weeks. It is not possible to say at this stage whether further imports will be necessary this year.
