Vol. 130 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Postal Deliveries.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the extremely unsatisfactory nature of the postal delivery in Rossmore and Ballineen, County Cork; and, if so, if he will state when the present difficulties will be overcome.

I do not agree that the postal delivery in Rossmore and Ballineen, County Cork, is extremely unsatisfactory. Part of the Rossmore area has a daily delivery and I will have the question of giving a daily delivery in the remainder examined when the reorganisation of the postal service in the Bandon head office district is undertaken. I regret that it is not possible to say when this will be done.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the difficulties in postal delivery in the Leap area of West Cork; and, if so, when he hopes to remedy them.

I am not aware of any difficulties in the postal delivery in the Leap area, West Cork. If the Deputy will let me know what he has in mind I will have the matter examined.
