Vol. 130 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reason for the hold up in the building of the county council houses in Clondulane, Fermoy.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to his question of 31st January, 1952, concerning this scheme. I understand that the contract for the erection of the houses was signed on 20th February, 1952, and that possession of the site has been handed over to the contractor. The acceptance of a tender for this scheme was approved by me on 23rd July, 1951, on the understanding that adequate water and sewerage services would be available on the completion of the houses.
