Vol. 131 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ground Limestone Subsidy.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in what year it was decided by his predecessor in office to refuse sanction to the payment by county committees of agriculture of a subsidy on ground limestone and if any committees had protested against that decision.

The decision of my predecessor not to approve the continuance by committees of agriculture after the 31st December, 1948, of a scheme for subsidising the distribution of ground limestone was conveyed to the committees on the 21st December, 1948. Five of the committees objected to this decision.
