Vol. 131 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wexford Dispensary.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the deplorable condition of the dispensary at Foulksmills, County Wexford; and, if so, if he will state what proposals are being formulated to provide a suitable dispensary.

I am aware of the condition of the dispensary at Foulksmills. A site for a new dispensary in this area has been purchased and the local authority have submitted plans for a new building. The general question of dispensary accommodation in rural areas has been under consideration in my Department and a circular has now been issued to local authorities in regard to this question.

It should be possible for the local authority to proceed rapidly with the plan for the new dispensary at Foulksmills.
