Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the fact that the civil jurisdiction of the District and Circuit Courts was fixed in 1924 and that owing to the depreciation in the value of the £ since that time the jurisdiction is now considerably less than half, he will now consider introducing proposals for legislation at least to double their jurisdiction, particularly that of the District Court.
