Vol. 131 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - District and Circuit Court Jurisdiction.

andMr. S. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the fact that the civil jurisdiction of the District and Circuit Courts was fixed in 1924 and that owing to the depreciation in the value of the £ since that time the jurisdiction is now considerably less than half, he will now consider introducing proposals for legislation at least to double their jurisdiction, particularly that of the District Court.

Consideration is being given to this question and it is hoped that a decision will shortly be reached.
