Vol. 132 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have a letter-box erected at Kilruane, Nenagh, to meet the needs of the people of a large area who have to travel four or five miles to Nenagh to do their posting.

The provision of a letter-box is warranted and one will be erected in due course.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that there are several districts adjacent to the town of Tuam which do not enjoy a daily postal delivery; and, if so, if he will consider the propriety of making arrangements in that regard.

The question of giving a daily postal delivery in those parts of the Tuam area which have not this facility will be examined when the reorganisation of the postal service in the Tuam Head Office district is undertaken. I regret it is not possible at this stage to say when this will be done.
