Vol. 132 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lough Swilly Railway Company.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether it has been decided that the Lough Swilly Railway Company will retain the monopoly of road transport when it ceases to be a railway company.

The position of the Derry-Lough Swilly Railway Company in relation to public road transport, which is practically one of having a monopoly in the area which it serves, will not be affected in the event that the company ceases to operate railway services.
