Vol. 132 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reduction in Special Allowance.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that steps have been taken which are likely to result in the special allowance granted to recipient D.P. 7947 being considerably reduced, thereby causing very grave hardship to this man; and, if so, whether he will personally examine the papers in the case before a final decision is taken.

Steps have not been taken in this case which are likely to result in a reduction of the special allowance. I have seen the papers and I am satisfied that a reduction is not being considered.
