Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Water Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the present position in regard to the proposed new water scheme at Lixnaw, County Kerry.

Contract documents for this scheme have been approved. As the local authority has under consideration the compulsory acquisition of land for the scheme the invitation of tenders must be deferred until this matter has been disposed of.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the present position in regard to the proposed water scheme for Ballyteigue, County Kerry.

Revised preliminary plans for the improvement of the water supply at Ballyteigue have been submitted by the sanitary authority and are under examination. Observations arising out of the examination of the plans will be issued to the sanitary authority in the near future.
