Vol. 133 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in the erection of town houses in Fermoy (village scheme) and in Ballyhooly, the tenders for which were accepted some months back.

I am not aware that there has been undue delay in having work on these housing schemes put in hands. Sanction was requested by the housing authority on 27th May last to the acceptance of tenders for the schemes. Approval was given on 7th ultimo in the case of the Fermoy scheme. Certain additional information had to be obtained from the council in relation to the Ballyhooly scheme and approval to the acceptance of the tender proposed in this case issued on 8th instant.
