Vol. 133 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electricity Supply Board Meters.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate (a) the number of meters installed for its consumers by the Electricity Supply Board since its establishment; (b) the cost of these meters to the Electricity Supply Board; (c) the amount collected or received by the Electricity Supply Board by ways of rentals in respect of such meters, and (d) if it is the present intention of the Electricity Supply Board to continue the "rental" system in respect of such meters, indefinitely.

I have no function in the matter of the charges made by the Electricity Supply Board for electricity and for goods sold or services rendered by them. The responsibility in this matter rests under statute with the board.
