Vol. 134 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Closing Hours of Shops.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware of the great dissatisfaction felt by confectioners and sweet proprietors in Offaly with regard to the new regulations compelling them to close their business premises at eight o'clock on every week evening except Friday and Saturday; and, if so, whether he will take steps to have the matter reconsidered.

Since the 24th June last, there are no restrictions in law on the hours during which confectionery and sweets may be sold in Offaly.

Lollipops.
