Vol. 135 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission are yet in the position to indicate when the division among suitable allottees of the Clonbrock (Dillon) estate, Ahascragh, County Galway, is likely to occur.

The Land Commission allotted portion of this estate last year. They are not at present in a position to state when the balance of the lands will be allotted but there will be no avoidable delay.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Maher estate, Cashel, will be divided and if the Land Commission will ensure that cottiers and landless men will not be overlooked when the division is being made.

Possession of this estate has not yet been obtained and it is not possible to state when allotment will take place. The claims of local cottiers and landless men will be considered in competition with the claims of other eligible persons and bodies.
