Vol. 135 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Cork Airport.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if the Government has yet reached any decision regarding the establishment of an airport at Cork; and, if so, the nature of the decision.

The Government have decided in principle that an airport should be provided at Cork with a view to the establishment of scheduled services to and from that city. The Government have also decided that there should now be a detailed examination of the nature and extent of the facilities required and the minimum cost at which such facilities could be provided. This examination is about to be initiated.
